Meet Our Director
Hi, I’m Michelle Carter, and I bring more than 30 years of experience in early childhood education and administration to my role as center director. I’m a proud graduate of the University of South Alabama, where I earned a dual degree in early childhood education (birth to age 5) and elementary education (K–6). Over the years, I’ve served as a classroom teacher, a training specialist for the University of Arkansas Early Care and Education Project, and a state-level consultant for Arkansas’s Childhood Services. I’ve also held director and co-director roles in both childcare and early intervention programs, and I’m a certified educational coach with a background in curriculum development.
While I’m proud of my professional achievements, my greatest joy has been raising my three grown children. That experience shaped my ability to view childcare through the eyes of a parent and deepened my commitment to creating nurturing, responsive environments for families. As a director, my goal is simple: to ensure every child in our care feels safe, loved, and supported every single day.
